Description
Rose Bengal 10% in DMSO
Rose Bengal is a strong colorant. It can also be used to quantify the excretory capacity of the liver. In uncontrolled cell growth, Rose bengal 10 % in DMSO passes through the cell walls and accumulates in the lysosomes, which triggers the autolysis of these cells. The combination with DMSO (dimethyl sulphoxide) improves the tissue permeability of Rose Bengal. This compound diffuses extremely well through biological membranes and therefore also through the skin. It has the ability to carry other substances with it and thus introduce them into the body through the skin (carrier function).
Application areas:
- Dye
- Contrast agent in microscopy
