The Far Eastern medicinal mushroom Reishi is native to the deciduous forests of China and Japan as well as the Himalayan region. Known in Chinese as “Ling Zhi,” its name evokes magic and mythology, and indeed it is mentioned in numerous legends. To this day, Reishi is hung in buildings as a talisman for good fortune and not without reason bears the honorable nickname “mushroom of eternal life.” In traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), Reishi has held a firm place for over 3,000 years.
