Burnet belongs to the rose family (Rosaceae). Burnet herb contains, among other components, triterpene saponins, tannins and flavonoids and prefers to grow in moist meadows. It can be found from western France to southeastern China. In folk medicine, it is said to have beneficial effects on inflammation of the mouth and throat, as well as anti-bleeding properties.
