Black tea is obtained from the leaves of the tea bush (Thea sinensis L.) from the tea bush family (Theaceae). The characteristic ingredient of black tea is caffeine. It also contains essential oils and secondary plant compounds such as tannins. Important nutrients such as potassium, manganese and vitamin B are also contained.
