Description
Heather Flowers Drops
Heather, also known as broom heather or heather, is a dwarf shrub with small red to purple flowers that is now widespread in the northern hemisphere. This „Flower of the Year 2019“ is considered an acid indicator and has a special significance in beekeeping as heather honey. The flowers were already being used in the late Middle Ages and Hieronymus Bock and Sebastian Kneipp attributed draining and blood-purifying properties to the plant and used it in preparations for the kidneys and urinary tract. Its ingredients arbutin, hydroquinone and tannins, to name but a few, can still be used today.
