Darjeeling is a type of tea from India. The popular tea variety goes back to the Englishman Dr. Campbell, who worked as a botanist in tea planting. The harvest is primarily carried out by women who only pick two leaves and a bud from each shoot. In Chinese folk medicine, Darjeeling is used as a stimulant for tiredness and drowsiness, diarrhea (tannins) and inflammation of the oral mucosa.
